Poetry Open Mic ft. Lisa Shen

Sauga Poetry is Mississauga's hub for spoken word! Come check out our December poetry open mic as an audience member or performer. All levels of experience are welcome.

Location: Daniel's Sales Centre, located at Studio.89

Time: Doors 6 30 PM, open mic 7 - 9 PM

How to perform: Sign up on-site when you arrive anytime before 7 pm

(NOTE: We have 16 open mic slots available. If there are over 16 requests, the performance list will be based on a random draw of those who sign up.)

Feature bio: Lisa Shen (she/her) is a writer and spoken word artist. She served as the 4th Youth Poet Laureate of the City of Mississauga. She is the winner of the 2024 Lillian Allen Emerging Artist Prize. Lisa has toured across North America, from California to New York. Her work has appeared on CBC Radio, TEDx, Button Poetry, and Write About Now. Her first chapbook A Story Ending in Redwoods was published with Anstruther Press.
