A pilgrimage is a transformational journey into territory beyond the everyday - and where the language of poetry may be especially called on to chart new experience. Throughout October, Chester Cathedral is hosting events to highlight the themes of Dante’s poetic pilgrimage through Purgatory in his classic visionary poem Divine Comedy.
In this workshop, we come to write as fellow pilgrim-poets, exploring how poetry can express the soul’s journey. We will take inspiration from the art exhibition that is part of the Purgatory Project.
