About this Event
This spring, join award-winning poet, bestselling author and lecturer Jaspreet Kaur for a six-week immersive writing course exploring memory, heritage and belonging.
Across six thoughtfully guided sessions, we will turn towards the stories we carry - the moments that shaped us, the objects we’ve kept, the histories we’ve inherited, and the places we call home.
Through carefully designed prompts, shared reading, discussion and writing time, you will create new work rooted in personal experience and shaped by craft.
This is not a lecture.
It is a collaborative, reflective space where writers of all levels can grow.
Over the course, you will:
• Develop a small body of original poems
• Explore themes of identity, family and belonging
• Strengthen your editing and refinement skills
• Build confidence in sharing your voice
• Connect with a supportive and evolving writing community
Whether you are returning from a previous series or joining for the first time, this course offers both structure and space - space to think, to write, and to be heard.
This series will form the foundation of an ongoing writing circle for those who wish to continue beyond the spring term.
Who Is This For?
• Writers at any stage
• Those interested in memory, identity and storytelling
• Anyone seeking a supportive creative space
No previous experience required.
