About this Event
Do you love poems but still find them a mystery? Do you write poems but maybe feel like you’re missing some of the foundations of poetry? As you build your literary house, this class is designed to give some foundations and building blocks of poetry to make your house as stable as it can be. Poetry should be fun and hard, enjoyable and sad, cathartic and didactic: We will look at some of the basics of craft through reading, writing, practice and play.
All participants receive a copy of the poetry collection by Daniel Khalastchi.
Kenyatta Rogers is a Cave Canem Fellow and has been awarded scholarships from the Breadloaf Writers’ Conference.
