Join Thomas Walk for an original, interactive workshop exploring how poetry and creative writing can support mental wellness and healing.This experience includes spoken word performances, a guided hands-on creative writing exercise, and an optional opportunity to share. Together, we’ll explore one way creative expression can help us process our experiences, reconnect with ourselves, and cultivate emotional well-being.
Hosted by: Thomas Walk, Veteran poet, Telly Award winner, recipient of nine national awards, and Emmy-nominated artist.
This workshop is designed to demonstrate how creative writing can be a purposeful tool for having difficult conversations with an intent to share openly, improving mood while healing forward. Focused workshop topics will include suicide awareness, parental struggles, what to do with “I can’t”, positive self-expression, etc. An exercise in learning to use words not just to express, but to support mental health and wholeness.
Basic supplies will be provided (filler paper, pencil)
