Poetry Café is a relaxed National Poetry Month gathering — a place to share words or simply spend time with them. The evening is gently guided by a few anchor readers who open and hold the flow of the night. Between those readings, there will be space for anyone who would like to share their own writing. You’re just as welcome to come only to listen — there is no pressure to perform, and first-time readers are encouraged.
We’ll keep the pace unhurried: a handful of poems at a time, quiet pauses, low conversation, and room to settle in.
Decaf coffee will be available, chairs will be waiting, and the space will belong to whoever joins us.
Hosted by J.L. Fizzell, founder of the Paper Town Writers Collective.
Teens and adults welcome
Free to attend
(Decaf) Coffee will be prepared based on confirmed attendance — please RSVP so we can make sure there’s enough for everyone.
