Join Sam Schmidt and Virginia Crawford, Patreon's "Married Poets," and Jennifer A. Sutherland for the Poetry at the Palisades Reading Series in Baltimore. Readers for 2025-2026 include Steven Leyva, Michael Tager, Barrett Warner, Hanna F. Al-Kowsi, Moira Egan, Liza Achilles, Shirley Brewer, and more! We meet on the 5th floor in the cyber lounge. An open mic follows the featured readings.The mission of Poetry at the Palisades is to support poets who live in or have ties to Baltimore at every stage of their careers, regardless of outlook, race, gender, sexuality, or style. We reject hate in all its forms and reserve the right to exclude hateful speech or work from our gatherings. Meeting the second Sunday of each month, we offer a supportive space for established poets as well as writers just introducing their work. We aim to feature some of the best poetry being produced locally or anywhere.

Perhaps you've got recorded readings, podcast episodes, or talks that you've given about your work. Send us a link or two. We'd especially like to feature you if you recently published or are about to publish a book. We often pair local poets with writers visiting Maryland from farther afield. Featured readers are invited to bring books to sell.
