This session will be facilitated by local poet Kate Burns. Kate is a Chesterfieldbased poet, facilitator and researcher whose work centres on community, advocacy and lived experience, often weaving in myth, folklore and local history. Her own poetry has been featured across festivals, events and exhibitions across the East Midlands, and her local workshops have included sessions for Bolsover District’s Cultural Corridor, Platform 31 Creative Women’s Network, Derby University, Stainsby Festival and Creative Revolution Chesterfield. She is currently commissioned to help create A Sense of Chesterfield, a new heritage arts trail funded through Animate Chesterfield and The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
