James Lenfestey presents his newest poetry collection, Time Remaining: Body Odes, Praise Songs, Oddities, Amazements, accompanied by renowned bassist Larry Dalton. Filled with linguistic delight, Time Remaining explores the surprises of the human body and the rhythms of language and life. After a career in academia and marketing communications, for 30 years James was the Urban Coyote columnist for Hill & Lake Press, then served a decade on the editorial board of the Star Tribune, receiving several Page One Awards for excellence. In 2020, he received the Kay Sexton Award for significant contributions and leadership in the Minnesota literary community. James has been married to Club member Susan Lenfestey for 58 years. Larry’s bassist career spans five decades, and he is featured on numerous rock, jazz, gypsy jazz, bluegrass, big band, and orchestral albums. He has been seen and heard on network television and national tours with bands big and small, the latest being Larry Long’s American Roots Revue at the Dakota.
