Embark on a poetic journey with Poemambulism, an immersive two-hour poetry walk through the heart of Perth during the Perth Poetry Festival 2024. This event invites participants to explore the city's rich landscapes and hidden gems while engaging in poetry readings, writing exercises, and deep reflections. The walk will be fully accessible and punctuated with stops for spontaneous poetic inspiration, culminating in a relaxed debrief and meal break. The walk takes in the entire length of William Street, beginning at Laurel Nannup's First Contact sculpture on the river bank and ending at the Yagan statue near Roe Street, which used to be a lake. Join us to experience Perth through the lens of poetry, blending urban exploration with creative expression.
