EVENT DETAILS:
As with all our events, any vehicle is allowed to attend as long as it's street legal, licensed for road use, and you're licensed and insured to drive the vehicle. It's not uncommon to see motorcycles, trucks, RHD imports, sports cars, supercars/exotics, or vintage and classic vehicles at our events. Please keep in mind our events are not a race, but more of a leisurely drive with other auto enthusiasts. To help police our events, several PNW Drives members run GoPros, 360 cams, and dash cams and we record the entire time while staying in communication via radios/walkie talkies. We always abide by the law and rules of the road and make sure to run safe events. If anyone is caught doing burnouts, excessive revving, passing on solid yellow lines, being a nuisance, or if the police reach out to us about any particular vehicle, the footage will be submitted. Please keep this in mind before deciding to attend our event or deciding if you want to be "that guy".
The Whidbey Island Rally is an 84.6 mile route (roughly 2.5hr drive time) with a start point in Bellingham, WA. at Fairhaven Station Parking Lot. Meet time is 9am, driver's meeting at 9:30am, and we roll out shortly after. From there, we'll head down the famous Chuckanut Drive for a scenic cruise along the water. After Chuckanut, we'll head through Bow, WA and out to SR-20 and take that into Anacortes to our next destination called Cap Sante Park. We'll drive through the top part of Cap Sante before circling back down and start heading to Washington Park where we'll be taking everyone through a slow drive through a secluded loop in the back of the park that gives some amazing views of the water, as well as all the cars on the rally for the event video. Once we leave Washington Park, we'll head over Deception Pass Bridge for our first stop of the rally at Deception Pass State Park. Please make sure to have your Discover Pass ready at the gate or be prepared to pay the entrance fee to the park. We'll park down by the water for a pit stop to use bathrooms, record some more drone footage, and stretch our legs for about a half hour. Next, we'll head into Oak Harbor for a drive out to Fort Casey Beach which will be our last stop of the event.
NOTES: If anyone would like an event rally shield sticker (roughly 6"x6"), they are available on our pnwdrives.com website under the PNW DRIVES SHOP link. These are not mandatory to attend, but are a great way to help support our events while getting a custom event sticker in your choice or color and with your team name or number included. Event stickers can be mailed out or you can pick them up the morning of the event at the meet up location. Pictures and video footage from the event will be posted within 2 weeks of the event ending. We'll post these on the event page and PNW Drives main page. These vids and pics are yours to keep and you're welcome to keep them as a memory of the trip. We are family and pet-friendly. Feel free to invite family members and your pets for a fun day of exploring the Whidbey Island area! If you have a walkie talkie or 2-way radio, feel free to bring it with if you would like to stay on comms with everyone. We use comms to relay any safety issues, cyclists/hikers/etc on the road, traffic delays, etc. Please keep try and keep comms as clear as possible on the drive.
That's about it for now! We'll post some updates on the event page as we get closer to the event date. Feel free to email us at [email protected] if you have any questions. Thanks, and we'll see you bright and early Saturday, April 25th for our first event of 2026!
