Born in a squat in Brixton, growing up in New Zealand and residing in Melbourne, Australia, Plum Green combines elements of dark folk, goth, grunge, and post-rock with her dark lyrical prose. With a focus on crafting intimate live shows her performances are striking and uplifting.
In late 2019 Plum Green received a City of Melbourne Arts Grant to record the album Somnambulistic during 2020. Somnambulistic is a 9 track concept album of dark lullabies. Based on dreams, they flow on from each other to form one overarching dream as a narrative. Folk guitar and dark brooding soundscapes, classical string arrangements and the Melbourne Town Hall Grand Organ provide the backdrop to the beguiling vocal presence.
Following a 2018 three month multi country tour of Europe, in 2019 Plum Green released their second album 'Sound Recordings' and the single She Moved Through the Fair.
Somnambulistic was released in 2021 through Philadelphia based Nefarious Industries.
And finally on stage in Berlin at BAR BOBU.
