Join us on Friday, April 11 at 3:00 p.m. at City Hall for a fun, active way to give back: Plogging! Our 1.5-mile route combines light jogging or walking with picking up litter along the way; a simple idea with a big impact. The term “plogging” comes from a Swedish phrase meaning “to pick up,” and it’s all about moving your body while helping clean up your community.Plogging is for everyone. You can walk, jog, or move at your own pace. Along the route, you’ll bend, stretch, and squat as you collect litter, turning an ordinary walk into an energizing, feel-good workout. More importantly, you’ll see the immediate difference your effort makes in our shared public spaces.
This is a great way to spend time outdoors, meet neighbors, and show pride in our city. In just 1.5 miles, we can make our streets cleaner and more welcoming for everyone. Bring comfortable shoes and a positive attitude, and come be part of something active, social, and impactful.
