Get ready for summer painting season with an evening focused on the fundamentals of plein air painting before the upcoming Art in the Garden event on August 1st. This hands-on outdoor workshop will cover selecting strong compositions from life using a viewfinder, simplifying details, compressing values, and completing a painting on-site using an alla prima technique.Participants are welcome to work in any painting medium. Rob will demonstrate with oils, while Tracy will be working with Golden Open acrylics. Artists of all experience levels are encouraged to attend.

What to Bring: Any painting medium may be used. Participants are encouraged to bring their own paints, brushes, and easels, but supplies can be provided if needed.
Materials Provided: Canvas panels in 9x12 or 11x14 sizes will be provided.
If you need to borrow a plein air easel or another major item, please coordinate with Rob prior to the workshop.
