Thursdays 10am-12pm, May 21, May 28, June 4 $50This outdoor painting course gives students the opportunity to practice plein air painting at scenic locations in and around Lincoln City and Depoe Bay. Participants will learn how to compose and design a landscape from observation, mix color effectively with a limited palette, and create a small finished painting during each session. Instruction covers blocking in shapes, managing hard and soft edges, creating mood, and using contrast and detail to enhance outdoor paintings. Students work in their preferred medium and bring their own materials.
