Spend the day on location in beautiful historic Mineral Point drawing and painting shapes, colors, nature and architecture. We’ll start out inside with several prompts and lessons on color mixing with dropped in color, arranging shapes on a journal page and drawing lines with pencil and pen. Helen will explain her journaling process, about documentation in a place, recording and taking the time to really look. This is your chance to play with shape making, and combine words in an artful way. She’ll go over the basics of drawing buildings and nature, and give you the confidence you’ll need to get out there and journal! Materials fee includes: waterproof pen, 1 water-soluble pen, and 1 water soluble pencil.Instructor: Helen Shafer Garcia
