Let’s upcycle! In this hands-on workshop, students will repurpose a pair of jeans into a Y2K-inspired pleated skirt. Learn practical upcycling and garment construction techniques while creating a custom, wearable piece that’s both fashionable and sustainable.

This class is best suited for participants with basic sewing experience and comfort using a sewing machine.

What you’ll learn:

• How to deconstruct a pair of jeans
• How to create and set pleats
• Simple garment construction techniques
• How to customize with embellishments such as grommets, patches, buttons, and more
• Core upcycling methods for transforming existing clothing

What to bring:

• A pair of jeans in your size (preferably without holes or heavy distressing)
