Experience the magic of light, color, and movement in glass at OKCMOA!Playdate & Create is offered on the fourth Saturday of each month. Designed for children ages 2 through 4 and their adults, each session includes themed gallery exploration, story time, and a hands-on art-making activity—perfect for curious minds and busy little hands. Grown-ups participate alongside their child, fostering creativity and connection.
This month, we’ll dive into the bold colors and wavy forms of Dale Chihuly’s "Macchia"! We’ll explore how light and color sparkle, glow, and transform each piece. After our gallery adventure, we’ll head back to the classroom to create your own Chihuly-inspired "Macchia" bowls—discovering how color and shape can bend, ripple, and shine. Through gallery discovery, storytelling, and playful experimentation with color, your child will strengthen fine motor skills and experience the magic of art that seems to dance with light.
