About this Event
The International Play Association (IPA) Scotland delivered a spectacular international gathering of play advocates from around the world in June 2023, with Scottish national partners and IPA World. In this event we will look back at conference highlights and look ahead to consider inspiration, priorities and possibilities.
Professor John H. McKendrick of Glasgow Caledonian University will give his personal reflections on the impact of the unique, multi-disciplinary, international focus on children's right to play and will lead us in considering the legacy.
Dr. Sarah Goldsmith coordinated the conference volunteers, who exemplified everything inclusive, helpful and welcoming. "Awesome, friendly and polite", the volunteers were described as "the heroes of the conference". Sarah and representatives of the volunteer team will share their ups and downs and what we learned about the power of volunteering.
Our programme is interspersed with short films and cake...
