Play Chess? We invite you to play on the grounds of Laurel Hill Mansion

Bring a chess set, bring a friend, bring your lunch and enjoy a picnic too! Join us to play chess on the grounds of Laurel Hill Mansion. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player come and enjoy a friendly game of chess outdoors in picturesque surroundings. This historic summer estate is located in Philadelphia’s East Fairmount Park. It sits on a bluff above the Schuylkill River and there are lots of cool, breezy locations on the old property for outdoor chess, including the back porch, a gazebo and dozens of shade trees. All ages are welcome to come play chess. Those under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. We start playing at 12:30 P.M.

We are located at 3487 Edgley Drive, Philadelphia PA 19121, off of off of Reservoir Drive and across from Edgley Field. There is ample Free Parking. Restrooms are available.
