About this Event
Play & Healing: An Improv Therapy Workshop: Getting Out of Your Head, hosted by Muse Therapy and Brave You Therapy.
An experiential workshop for overthinkers, anxious minds, and humans trying to loosen their grip a little.
What happens when we stop trying to get it right?
So many of us spend our lives overthinking, rehearsing, self-monitoring, and trying to say or do the “right” thing. This workshop is an opportunity to practice something different.
Through playful improv and clown-based exercises, movement, reflection, and connection, we’ll explore what it feels like to become more present, spontaneous, and embodied — while gently challenging perfectionism, self-consciousness, and the pressure to perform.
What you get:
- 2 Licensed Therapists specializing in Improv Therapy
- 16 session hours packed into a 3-day intensive (for people who are busy)
- Help moving from stuck to freedom in a playful, experiential way
- An opportunity to get off your phone and go be with humans
- Practice skills you understand intelectually but get to embody and actually move through in a new way
Improv Therapy blends experiential exercises, nervous system awareness, relational connection, and play to help people practice being more fully themselves in real time.
No improv or performance experience needed.
Just a willingness to show up imperfectly.
Perfect for:
• Overthinkers
• Highly self-aware people who still feel stuck
• People wanting more confidence, spontaneity, and connection
• Humans craving play, laughter, and community
Each Improv Intensive explores a different themes and experiences based on the people who attend. While the structure and exercises, every workshop is rooted in connection, experiential play, nervous system awareness, and authentic self-expression.
This is not a comedy class.
This is not traditional group therapy.
