1st: Sushi Handrolls: tempura & pickled veggies + watermelon tuna-avocado
2nd: Clear Onion Soup w/ tempura flakes, mushroom & scallion
3rd: Ginger Salad w/ romaine, cucumber, tomato, purple cabbage & ginger dressing
4th: Hibachi Dinner: fried rice w/ sesame vegetables + scallops (hearts of palm), shrimp (king trumpet mushrooms) and salmon (tofu) + Yum Yum Sauce
5th: Giant Mango Mochi w/ fresh mango & yuzu sorbet.

BRIEF HISTORY: Plates & Crates was started by Dillon Maurer back around 2013 as s small house party where he cooked a fancy vegan meal for his eclectic friends. And plate by plate grew it into one of Atlanta's most beloved soirees. It was corraled in 2020 due to the pandemic but has now been reset and revamped at a new location in Decatur. A lifelong DJ, rapper & entertainer - Dillon got his cooking chops as a Hibachi chef in Gainesville, FL in the early 2000's and much of his foodie knowledge working at Murphy's - an Atlanta staple.
