Plasma-Derived Therapies: Preserving Access, Protecting Patients

Join the Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association at the Rayburn House Office Building (room 2043) on April 2, 2026, at 12:00 PM for an important discussion about plasma-derived therapies. Hear directly from patients and industry experts as they discuss the unique nature of plasma-derived therapies (PDTs), their delicate supply chain, and how policy issues impact patient access.

PDTs are unique, life-saving products used to treat immunodeficiencies, bleeding disorders, neurological conditions, shock, trauma, and other conditions. For several of these diagnoses, PDTs are the only treatment options available to manage symptoms, reduce disease burden, and improve quality of life.

PDTs are unique from other pharmaceutical products because of the unique source material - donated plasma from healthy individuals. Because of this finite raw material, along with fragile supply chains, complex manufacturing, and small patient populations, PDTs are uniquely vulnerable to policy changes like Most Favored Nation pricing.

Join us at an educational briefing hosted by the Plasma Caucus to learn about this unique industry, the issues that affect it, and the policies that could interfere with patient access.

Lunch will be available. Don't miss this chance to connect with experts and advocates!
