The sheep are no longer able to access the awa and now, Friends of Awa Matakanakana need your help to get a few thousand plants into the ground. This planting site directly impacts the catchment, located three kilometres upstream from Matakana Village.
Give us a hand. Please wear sturdy CLEAN closed-in shoes, boots or gumboots 🥾and bring:
* The kids - it's a family-friendly morning 🧒👧
* Clean garden gloves 🧤
* Clean spades (there will be some available)
* Water 🍶
* Hat 🧢
* Raincoat and appropriate clothing for the weather.
We will be planting no matter what the weather does.
There will be a sausage sizzle when the mahi is completed, with vegan options available. Yummo!
