Join horticulturist and local native plant expert Renee Hillman for a morning of info, advice and planting! Renee will share her technical expertise on native plants and how to select, plant and maintain them for a thriving native garden. Renee loves sharing her knowledge and encouraging everyone to give natives a go - they provide habitat for birds, bees and butterflies; they are waterwise and exactly suited to our climate and soil; plus they are beautiful! We’re super excited to have Renee (and YOU!) help us plant out our bush tucker garden. (Stay tuned for our cultural workshop on bush tucker with Vivienne Hansen!)
This is a hands-on workshop so please wear gardening gear and BYO gardening gloves if you have them (we have some spare if you don’t).
This workshop includes morning tea and if you come a few minutes early or stay after you can have a wander through our special little urban farm.
When: Saturday 30 July, 9.30am to 11.30am
Where: North Fremantle Social Farm, Thompson Rd, North Fremantle (next to the Community Hall)
Cost: Free for members (please enter code NFSFMEMBER for your discount), $15 non-members. New social members always welcome, become a member here!
Bring: Garden gloves, lots of questions and good vibes
