Site Info:
This special place was Whatcom Land Trustβs second protected property, donated by Ruth Kelsey in 1992. Since then, the Land Trust has expanded the reserve by adding a 51-acre parcel in 2024, which completes protection of the Lake Terrell shoreline through its connection with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife lands. Today, this protected land provides habitat for beaver, songbirds, coho, and many other native wildlife species. While important stewardship work has already taken place, there are still many opportunities for restoration.
