🌱RSVP in the invitation.
🌱Start gathering and labeling your Plants.
🌱Please do not bring diseased plants, invasive plants or chemicals! Bring anything garden related- cuttings, seeds, pots, birdhouses, garden decor, tools, books, magazines, etc. If you are not sure ask. If you don’t have any plants to share this time, there is plenty of time to find some other items to share.
🌱This is NOT a one-to-one swap. If you have special plants that you want to trade for something specific or someone is gifting you a plant, then it goes on a designated promise/pre-arranged table marked with the person's name. You'll see some of those swaps originating from the Wishlist post.
🌱There is no buying or selling at this event.
🌱Arrive by 9am. If you arrive after 9:15 you may not be issued a number to participate in the raffle or rounds of picking as it is interrupts the event for everyone else.
🌱Park logically and respectfully in Christina's front yard. Know that if you are the first to arrive that you may be blocked in and probably be the last to leave.
🌱Bringing a wagon, cart, or container is helpful for unloading and loading your plants.
🌱 Near the garage is the gate to enter the backyard.
🌱Sign in and get a name tag. You will be assigned a number when you arrive.
🌱Set your plants/items out on or under the tables marked with Plant Type (Cactus/ Succulents, Edibles, Promised, ...). Look over the plants but do not take any yet. Do research on your phone and/or ask questions to find the right plants for your yard. Have fun.
🌱Swapping will start around 9:30 am after a Raffle.
🌱Groups of numbers (for example 1-10) will be called to go make a selection from the swap area. You will be instructed on how many plants/items to pick in the round. First round is Pick one. Then after all groups have had a turn to pick, second round is usually Pick Two. How many people are in a group and how many things you are told to pick depends on how many people and plants show up.
🌱Please leave the swap area after you make your selection, and stay out of the area if it is not your turn. Relax between rounds. Talk plants. Make new plant friends. Bring a chair and a drink, as needed.
🌱After several rounds, Pick-Whatever-is-Left is announced, and we clear it all out; then help clean up.
