Whether you’re a beginning gardener or an experienced grower; master the basics of square foot gardening and the ins and outs of permaculture design with this workshop digging into two methods of planning and planting your garden! Design a sustainable, sufficient and reliable food source for you and your community, meet other gardeners and get excited about another year of growing together!
Plant Eat Repeat workshops are an opportunity to come learn more about gardening and connect with a local community garden. The workshops are free and open to gardeners and community members with all levels of gardening knowledge.
Workshops take place outside at a community garden. Closed-toed shoes are recommended and please dress for the weather!
Accessing the Garden: The Oakland Community Garden is located at the New Hope Christian Church. GPS may sometimes direct you to the back of the property via Cruise Road. The garden is visible from the Old Norcross Road entrance. If you arrive from Cruise Road, simply drive through the small parking lot and continue forward until you see the garden entrance.
There is a parking lot a short walk from the garden and a restroom available on site. The garden has uneven terrain and unpaved (gravel) walkways.
