About this Event

Join the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Food Well Alliance for a hands-on workshop on designing your spring garden! Growing in small spaces but thinking big picture? Whether you’re a beginning gardener or an experienced grower; master the basics of square foot gardening and the ins and outs of permaculture design with this workshop digging into two methods of planning and planting your garden! Design a sustainable, sufficient and reliable food source for you and your community, meet other gardeners and get excited about another year of growing together!

Plant Eat Repeat workshops are an opportunity to come learn more about gardening and connect with a local community garden. The workshops are free and open to gardeners and community members with all levels of gardening knowledge.

Workshops take place outside at a community garden. Closed-toed shoes are recommended and please dress for the weather!

Accessing the Garden:

Legacy Park Community Garden is wheelchair-accessible with handicapped parking and accessible restrooms.

The garden is located at Nickerson Cottage in Decatur's Legacy Park. If you enter at the traffic circle, you'll drive right (south) and follow the road inside the park to the cottage. There is a parking lot (Whitehead Parking Lot) located next to Nickerson Cottage and the Legacy Community Garden is visible from there. Additional parking is available around the park, if needed.
