Immersive cooking experiences celebrating Albuquerque’s culture, local flavors, and sustainable practices.
This cultural cooking demo series invites participants on a multi-sensory culinary journey rooted in community, wellness, and sustainable food practices. Through interactive demonstrations and hands-on learning, guests will explore plant-based cooking techniques, low-waste meal preparation, seasonal ingredients, and the rich culinary traditions of New Mexican culture.
Featured sessions include how to prepare blue cornbread, green chile lentil stew, and a workshop on preparing kale four ways. Participants will also discover practical plant-based substitutions and sustainable kitchen practices that support healthier lifestyles, reduce food waste, and promote environmentally conscious cooking while honoring local food traditions.
*After each class, particiants will have the opportunity to witness Pueblo dances at the Indian Pueblos Cultural Center.
