The Plano City Council meets tomorrow, December 16th at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers at the Plano Municipal Building. Item 3 on the agenda is a briefing on the status on the Collin County Connects Committee. A public hearing is not scheduled, but it is likely that council will allow public comments. You must register in advance to speak. The agenda and instructions for registering are below. This is a briefing. The council may ask questions but they cannot take action.If public comments are allowed, the time allotted per speaker will be short. And the Mayor may limit the number of speakers and the total time available for comments. Everyone is welcome to register, however, Plano residents and property and business owners will have the greatest sway.
Showing up is more than half the battle. Being in the room communicates the importance of this issue. If you care, please attend. If you plan to speak, be organized and brief. Be relivant to the agenda item (ranking of criteria to be used in selecting alternative transit service providers and the the scope of work.
I'll be there, but I do not plan to speak. I've shared my thoughts with council.
