Planning Your Spring Vegetable Garden: Beginner's Guide to Vegetable Gardening at Home
Ready to grow your own food but not sure where to start? This engaging, beginner-friendly presentation—Veggies 101—is your introduction to the basics of vegetable gardening at home. Taught by Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers, the session walks you through essential topics such as soil preparation, seed starting, garden placement, and container vs. raised bed gardening. You'll learn about popular vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onions, and carrots, including how to care for them and manage common problems. With practical tips on garden planning, watering, mulching, and companion planting, this program equips you with the foundational knowledge to start your own successful vegetable garden.
