A deep dive into the pay and reward related changes that Keir Starmer’s labour government have committed to introduce.
About this Event

We will be joined by Charles Cotton, Senior Advisor for Reward and Performance at the CIPD, to explore the manifesto commitments around SSP and NMW, the pensions review, and expansion of pay gap reporting to race and disability. We’ll look at what the government have committed to, how these proposals will progress through the lawmaking process, and what HR and Payroll teams should be doing now to prepare.

Charles Cotton

Charles Cotton directs the CIPD's public policy work in the area of reward and is also responsible for the CIPD’s pay and benefits research agenda. He recently led a project focusing on how HR teams can help tackle in-work poverty, how workplaces can be more transparent about reward, and how employers can support their staff during the cost-of-living crisis.

He Charles is also responsible for our public policy work around pay and benefits and has given evidence to several government select committees, including topics such as executive remuneration and ethnicity pay reporting, as well responding to consultations on pensions, the national minimum wage, and corporate governance.
