About the Speakers:

Michelle Linden - Owner, Architect with Atelier Drome

As the leader of Atelier Drome, Michelle is direct, decisive, and people-driven. Michelle has not only established herself as a skilled architect and mentor but has also developed her own boundary-pushing, user-centered approach. While pursuing her Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2002, Michelle studied abroad at the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands, where she drew from her surroundings to hone a bold and context-sensitive approach to design. After working at several firms around the United States, Michelle formed Atelier Drome with Henry Walters in 2012. Able to balance being people-oriented and pragmatic, Michelle relishes the opportunity to design spaces that evoke emotion and enrich clients' lives. In the early stages of each project, she works to establish a clear vision, tailored specifically to the users of the space and the challenges the design needs to solve. As an avid traveler, Michelle doesn’t leave her innovative mindset at the office. In her time off, she enjoys wandering Parisian museums and traveling through Morocco, tasting local cuisines.

Shannon Wing - Principal, Architect with Atelier Drome

Shannon Wing is an experienced architect with a passion for community-centered design. She received her Bachelor of Art in Architecture from the University of Washington and her Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland, gaining inspiration from time spent in France and Italy. Shannon’s focus on community filters into all aspects of her work at Atelier Drome. She has experience working in a variety of roles on a range of project types, from residential to hospitality and commercial. In every project, Shannon prioritizes personal connections – both with the client and within the design and construction team. Working closely with clients and future occupants, Shannon designs spaces that meet their immediate needs and enrich the larger community. She is currently working on several projects in West Seattle, and has recently finished work on a multi-family project in the Queen Anne neighborhood. She enjoys camping, canoeing, and helping her husband with their hard cider business in her free time.
