ABOUT GOODHAND DRAWING
At Goodhand Drawing, we believe that there is no such thing as a bad drawing which is why all hands are good! We want to facilitate a space where everyone feels comfortable to try out new ways of drawing and have fun.
The classes are hosted by Florence Goodhand-Tait. Florence is an artist and educator with a BA in illustration and considerable experience running art workshops for a wide range of groups, including for Saatchi Gallery, Art in the Park, Camberwell College of the Arts and Bold Tendencies.
ABOUT 'PLACES IN PECKHAM':
'Places in Peckham' is an informal art club in which we will create art inspired by the local area. Florence will provide some research and reference images to work from and discuss with participants also their memories of local places. Then we will respond to the places with drawing, printmaking, embroidery, and collage.
Free teas and coffees will be provided.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
Basic materials will be provided but feel free to bring your favourite things to make art with. This may include paper, sketchbooks, pencils, coloured pencils, felt tips, oil or chalk pastels, charcoal, or collage materials!
If you like you can also bring photographs of your favourite Places in Peckham that you would like to use as a reference.
DONATIONS:
The session is PAY WHAT YOU CAN (suggested donation: £10).
Donations that we get will go towards our venue costs, materials costs, payment for our artist, and future sessions.
