PKD and ME
Join us at the Rady Children's Hospital Education Office Building (EOB) for a day dedicated to raising awareness about Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). This event is for anyone affected by PKD, whether you're a patient, caregiver, or healthcare professional.
Learn from experts in the field, connect with others who understand what you're going through, and find support and resources to help you on your PKD journey. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against PKD.

Welcome Address
Info: We are lucky to have Dr. Pranav Garimella, MD, board certified nephrologist and Director of the Polycystic Kidney Disease Center of Excellence at UCSD participating and planning this event. He will provide a welcome message and brief overview of the morning.

Yoga
Info: Join our certified yoga teacher, Sofie, for a beginners yoga flow targeted to all ages and levels of yoga experience. Children welcome!

Healing Touch
Info: Healing touch practitioners will be on site. Roxanne, Lisa, and Patricia will be providing brief sessions for those interested in a quiet soothing space.

Refreshments and Recipe sharing
Info: Food will be available on the patio along with our renal dietician, Kristen who will guide attendees through a buffet-style meal and snack bar. Kristen will provide dietary information and guidance on specific diets and nutritional needs of patients with PKD.

Face Painting!
Info: Face Painting for children (and kids at heart) available on the patio!

Community craft
Info: Please join us by creating a banner defining- "What PKD means to you." There will be markers, crayons, and pens available to add your message or drawing to the banner. Exercise your imagination and creativity by helping to create this art piece to be used as our photo backdrop at the end of the event.

Info: Stop by our resource table to pick up information on registering for the PKD foundation, medications used in PKD, organization of a PKD support group in San Diego, and more! We will have MDs, PAs, and RDs available to answer questions and get to know you better.
