Perth Junior Roller Derby is looking for new members! If you're a 7-17yo roller skater of any gender, come chat about derby at our ✨ FREE OPEN NIGHT ✨ 6-7pm, Friday 4th April at Morley Rollerdrome. Our not-for-profit organisation runs on people power and good vibes so our junior skaters need to be able to:
🛼 stand on quad skates
🛼 self-propel from stand-still
🛼 maintain a moderate pace
🛼 stop safely
What to bring:
🛼 quad skates (hire available, bring socks)
🛼 comfy sport clothes (with socks!)
🛼 water bottle
🧦 did we mention socks?!
If you have:
🛼 helmet
🛼 mouthguard
🛼 elbow, knee and wrist pads
please bring them however these are unnecessary for this event.

so we can make sure we have an icecream and soft drink for you to enjoy while you watch our level 3+ kiddos demonstrate roller derby. You'll also get the chance to chat and skate with our members and coaches, and get some info and tips about buying derby gear to train with us.
🛼 If you need skate hire, Morley Rollerdrome has kindly offered $5 skate hire for this event, just bring socks. If you'd like to stay on for the 7pm public skate session, pay an extra $10. Please note only 7-17yo prospective derby members can skate during our event, and a supervising adult must stay on site at all times.

✨ ABOUT PJRD ✨
Our incredible volunteer coaches are adult derby players and will help you develop your skating skills through levels 1 and 2 before you can play Roller Derby in our friendly and inclusive under-17s team.
We have so much fun at our bi-weekly training sessions on Tuesday and Friday evenings 5:30-7pm, including games and roller hockey.
Fees are $180 per term for beginners (approx $12 per sesh based on 3 per fortnight).
