Pizza and Prosecco With The Children's Law Center

Join us for the launch of the Children’s Voice Project, a new program aiming to provide a forum for youth with lived experience to help shape the conversation around Family Court, family law and what children need to thrive. We will have pizza and prosecco and hear from young people that have gone through the Family Court as children. This in-person event will be held on the roof of 80 Chambers St.

Founded in 1997, The Children’s Law Center (CLC) is New York City’s first and only non-profit organization dedicated to the representation of children in custody, visitation, and guardianship matters in Family Courts across Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx. CLC has filed over 1,000 appellate briefs, handled tens of thousands of cases and represented over 135,000 children in legal proceedings. CLC currently serves 4,849 clients in these boroughs Through our work in the courtroom and the community, we empower children, reduce the negative impact of family dissolution and court involvement and promote well-being for young people.

CLC’s new Children’s Voice Project will specifically engage youth from low-income communities in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx who have been the subjects in contested custody, domestic violence and/or guardianship proceedings.
