About this Event
On June 10, 2026, Venture13 innovation Centre will once again welcome the next generation of innovators, problem solvers and community changemakers for the Pitch to the Chief™ - Youth Edition Competition.
Hosted by the V13 Policetech Accelerator, the program gives high school students the opportunity to explore real community challenges and transform their ideas into meaningful solutions. Over the past several months, students have worked alongside mentors and industry professionals to shape concepts focused on community safety and wellness.
This year, six teams will take the stage at Venture13, including three teams from Port Hope High School (PHHS) and three teams from St. Mary Catholic Secondary School (SMCSS). Each team will present their ideas to the Chiefs of Police from the Cobourg Police Service and Port Hope Police Service, alongside a panel of community leaders who will evaluate the pitches based on creativity, impact and real-world potential.
More than a pitch competition, Pitch to the Chief™ - Youth Edition creates space for students to build confidence, develop entrepreneurial thinking and see how their ideas can contribute to the future of their communities.
Community members, educators, families, partners and supporters are invited to experience the energy, creativity and innovation these students are bringing forward at this year's pitch competition.
