The Piedmont Trail is a special part of Mason’s Science and Technology campus, offering fitness, recreational, and educational opportunities to the community. The Piedmont Trail is a 1.2mi loop through forested wetlands and native prairie. Volunteers are an essential part of protecting this trail.
This event is a way for volunteers to help us maintain and preserve the trail for future generations of use. Your hard work makes a difference! Come alone or bring friends, family, or coworkers. We will all work together for the care & keeping of this trail.
Each event focuses on the immediate needs of trail maintenance, this can include clearing brush or invasive species, laying mulch, wood staining, etc.
WHAT TO WEAR
Wear long sleeves and close-toed shoes. Bring your own gloves, or work gloves will be provided
WHERE TO PARK
Please park in the Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center parking lot then join us under the Green and White tent to the left of the fitness center. Bring gloves if you have them, a water bottle, a snack and a smile. Wear layers and closed toe shoes. Wheelbarrows and tools provided.
