Each class is limited to 14 participants.
Participants ages 8 and over are welcome. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Workshop will be held in the 2nd floor Arcadia ballroom.

In this workshop, anyone can learn to turn plain white chicken eggs into beautiful pisanki (pysanky)! Using a special pen called a kistka, melted wax, and dyes, you will create Easter eggs that you can take home. The drawing and dyeing are repeated several times as each layer of the design is applied until the egg is finished. All supplies are provided. You will also receive a short history of pisanki, instructions with an explanation of the process, motifs and pictures for design inspiration, an explanation of caring for the completed egg(s), and a container in which to take the egg(s) home.
The instructor, Hanka Robertson, was born in Slovenia. She learned to make pisanki from her mother, who was born and grew up in the former Czechoslovakia.
