Welcome everyone to the Pirates event page for the Daytona Beach 18th annual Rum Festival. This years Festival will be hosted by the City of Daytona Beach. They will be closing down Main St by 4pm so you need to be on Main St by then to set up.We will once again be having a photo op with our lovely Mermaids. William Mayhem The Pirate Magician will be there to entertain everyone! The parade will start at 7:30pm we need everyone set up and ready to go at 6:45pm in front of Cruisin Cafe at the corner of Main St and A1A. Make sure to have plenty of beads and coins to hand out. Parade set up will be as follows The Daytona Pipes and Drums will once again lead off the parade Followed by the Queen and her royal escort. Then the Ancient City Sirens followed any Pirate Crewes who would like to march in the parade with their flags and or banners. To finish off the parade we will have Our vintage Pirate pick up truck and The Ancient City Sirens Lady Krewe and their ship The Sirens Wrath.
After the parade we will be having Sword fighting Demos by Keith and Janice hill and Belly Dancing by the Ancient City Sirens. Fireworks over the Main St Pier will begin at 9:45pm. Don't forget to check out our pirate vendor Sucker punch Sam's. If your looking for parking come over the Main St bridge turn left on Peninsula then make a right onto Auditorium St the are several parking lots between the Ocean Center and Main St.
Please remember while we want everyone to have a fun time this is a family event so please act accordingly. All weapons must be kept sheathed and piece tied at all Times! If an establishment denies you entry because you have any type of weapon be it a prop or real that is up to their discretion. Absolutely no flogging in public areas! If an establishment permits you to do that it's on them. Remember this event is being hosted by the City and they will be keeping a close eye on us and we don't want to jeopardize any future events.
