John will cover the first (failed) attempt in 1928 until the advent of TEAL's flying boats which made scheduled flights. John is from Auckland, and is a long-time aviation author and editor.
John's talk is part of an ongoing series of free public lectures presented by the Aviation Historical Society of New Zealand.
The talk is in the Theatre, no bookings necessary, seats limited to 100.
