April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and Livingston County Department of Social Services, in collaboration with community-based prevention services agencies across the county, will be hosting a Pinwheels for Prevention Fair.The Pinwheels for Prevention Fair, signifies the carefree and happy childhood that every youth deserves which is represented through the pinwheel.
This event will be held on Friday April 10, 2026 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Conference Center located at 1 Murray Hill Drive, Mount Morris.
Some of the agencies participating in this event, will include: The Youth Advocacy Program, Catholic Charities of Steuben/Livingston County, CASA-Trinity, Livingston County Youth Bureau, Livingston County Department of Health, and the WNY Children’s Advocacy Network. All of these agencies share a commitment with raising awareness throughout our community on how to provide children with the opportunity to experience a safe, stable, and nurturing childhood through prevention efforts and activities.
We welcome community members to attend this event as prevention education and available community based service information will be provided. Staff representatives will also be accessible to answer questions.
During the event a basket raffle and light refreshments will be provided. Any contributions will be donated to the WNY Children’s Advocacy Center opening soon in Livingston County.
