About this Event
When considering the Pinot grape varieties, the first one that springs to mind is usually Pinot Noir; whether as an enveloping Burgundian red or a gorgeous Champagne, this finicky grape has inspired devotion and ambition among wine-drinkers and makers throughout history and across the world.
However, this ancient and noble variety has many a sibling, cousin and alias, not to mention the children and grandchildren that fill the branches of the illustrious Pinot family tree. Tonight, we will explore the branches and roots of this extensive family tree, from delicious Champagnes and smoky Weissburgunder to luscious, late-harvest Pinot Gris.
Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
