Amber Jackson:
Book Title: In Sickness and In Health
Short Bio: I am a breast cancer survivor, wife, and mother from Cleveland, Ohio. At 30 years old, just weeks after my wedding, I was diagnosed with triple-positive breast cancer. My memoir shares my journey through diagnosis, treatment, faith, and resilience while balancing newlywed life and motherhood. I am also the founder of Stories in Pink, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness, educating, and supporting young women affected by breast cancer through storytelling and community events.
Tia Baruti:
Book Title: Transparency Through the Storm
Tia Baruti is a Mental Health & Social Impact Consultant who specializes in helping organizations build programs and systems that truly change lives. With a strong background in child welfare, family systems, and community-based services, she brings both professional expertise and lived wisdom to every project.
She is also the founder of Through The Concrete, a nonprofit dedicated to mentorship and mental wellness. While the nonprofit has its own platform, it reflects her lifelong commitment to equity, resilience, and creating opportunities for youth and families to thrive.
My book is my personal journey through trauma, resilience, faith, and healing. I open the door to the moments that tried to break me, from military service to cancer survival to rebuilding myself after life’s most painful chapters and I share how purpose was birthed through every storm. This book is for anyone who has ever felt forgotten by life, overwhelmed by struggle, or unsure how to rise again. My hope is that readers see themselves in these pages and remember that healing is possible, strength is reclaimable, and every storm reveals something sacred about who we are becoming.
Malisa Dever-Cabezas:
Book Title: Unstable Butterfly
I am a young writer who learned early that words have power. Writing was never just a passion for me—it was a way to understand myself and the world around me. I self-published three books, choosing to trust my vision. Each book marked a step in my growth, teaching me resilience, discipline, and the courage to be seen.
As my journey evolved, so did my purpose. I began ghostwriting for others who carried powerful stories but lacked the space or tools to tell them. Through my writing, I help give their words a platform, translating lived experiences into lasting narratives. Whether my name appears on the page or not, my work remains rooted in honoring truth and amplifying voices that deserve to be heard.
