Back by popular request, this presentation of iconic Pink Floyd album ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ and ‘Wish You Were Here’ was generally acknowledged as one of the best Swindon concerts of 2023.As The Kelly Foundation, the leading community mental health charity in Swindon, it just seemed right to present Pink Floyd’s seminal work, exploring as it does, mental illness, mortality and human empathy. Truly a unique experience, Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” (supported by the full ‘Wish You Were Here’ album) will be again performed in the classic and atmospheric surrounds of Christ Church on the hill, in Old Swindon. A psychedelic rock music extravaganza by guitarist Chris Johnson and friends, a wall of background sound will be delivered on the Christchurch Organ and incidental vocals will be provided by American singer-songwriter, Emma Doupe. The work is arguably the finest ever produced by Roger Waters and Dave Gilmour and this version is up there with the best! To add to the drama, the concert will be illuminated by a raft of lasers, creating a ceiling of colour perfectly complimenting the quite epic music. Simply Stunning!
