Truck combines the sounds of indie rock, country, and no slight touch of emo to deliver a fresh take on the genres they grew up listening to. Imagine Wheatus if they were British. Better still, think of Dodgy, minus the Brit-pop associations. The same musical balance of infectiousness and well-wrought songs, the same array of light and shade, the same fine line walked between youthful drive and melodic maturity. In their short time as a band, they've secured festival slots all over the country including Dot to Dot and London's Burned Out, support from BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and This Feeling, as well as the opportunity to record at the legendary Abbey Road Studios.
Support from Si Connelly.
After releasing an EP every month of 2022, Si toured non-stop, including tour supports with Ocean Colour Scene and Dexy's Midnight Runners, and is set to release a staggering five studio albums during 2023.
After years on the underground touring scene and major deals with Sony/RCA and EMI Publishing, Brighton based Singer-Songwriter Si Connelly released his long-awaited debut album ‘Youth War & Joy’ in 2016. The albums lead track ‘Hurt You’ featured on hit ITV drama Monroe, and was also picked up by Coldplay, who backed Si’s vocal performance. Hurt You peaked at 19 on the UK iTunes chart, and the album went on to receive radio and television placement in many territories, including Radio 2 airplay and encouragement from Jonathon Ross in the UK.
After a successful crowd-funding campaign, 2017 saw the release of Si’s second album ‘Eject’, gaining airplay and tv coverage from 6 Music, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing, BBC The One Show.
2022 saw Si touring extensively, including tour supports with Ocean Colour Scene and Dexy's Midnight Runners plus the release of Twelve EP's, released every month of 2022.
2023 has seen no let up in Si's prolific output, with the release of five albums throughout the year. March saw the release of third album Jackals & Dogs, shortly followed by his forth album Nevertheless (June 2023). The Big Blue, Si's fifth album released September 23, followed by his sixth album Change and closing out the year with his seventh Wedding Singer.
