As part of the American Cancer Society's fundraising for breast cancer care & research, North Carolina AAU is hosting the third annual fall tournament "Pink Belt Karate Competition" on Oct. 18, 2025 using AAU Karate Rules. All athletes will receive a pink belt, top finishers in kobudo (weapons), kata (forms), and kumite (sparring) will win medals. ADDITIONALLY, we're hosting a female only camp on Oct. 17 and 19. to provide high-level technical instruction, personal development, mentorship and fellowship. Featuring female instructors and champions (confirmed instructors Kaitlin Leslie and Gidea Pretorius), the camp will focus on kumite, injury prevention, and mindset training.
