Grab a friend and come join us for an afternoon of learning a new and exciting ancient art form called coiling. First nations people have been coiling baskets since the beginning of time. Participants will learn about a variety of pine trees as well as the different geographic and cultural regions of the US and the Indigenous groups who live there. Spend your time creating a beautiful basket made of pine needles, sweet grass and adorning it with a selection of stones, beads and shells. You will also have enough supplies to take with you, at the end of the session, to make a mini basket at home. All materials are provided.
